I joined the Lake Union houseboat community in 1996 and have been enjoying the central location in the city and the ability to watch a wide variety of uses on the lake from large fishing boats to seaplanes to small pleasure crafts, kayaks and paddle boards. As the population of downtown Seattle has grown, so too has the recreational use on the lake expanded. Lake Union is a jewel in the middle of the city enjoyed by an increasingly wide variety of recreational boats, touring boats, boat rentals as well as being used for marine based businesses. I have definitely seen an appreciable growth in the overall use by recreational users & seaplanes and want that to continue in a safe manner.

My professional background is in healthcare having been a rehabilitation counselor for 46 years with 25 of those years in a multidisciplinary chronic pain clinic setting. I have been retired since 2016 and enjoying the lake even more.
